Middle East·South Asia·Regional Dynamics
Research, analysis, and reporting on politics, security, societies and regional transformations in the Middle East and South Asia.
My work examines politics, security and society across the Middle East and South Asia, with a focus on Iran, political Islam, extremism and forced migration. I combine academic research, fieldwork and policy analysis.
For fifteen years I have also worked in the media, as an analyst on live television, a radio contributor and an op-ed writer, explaining fast-moving crises in plain language without losing their complexity.
